What Is the Goal of Redline Rivals?
Launch beside a computer rival, keep the engine in its useful rev range and cross the line first on five distinct tracks. Victories award race points that upgrade ten parts on each car through three levels.
How to Play
- Throttle: W or Up Arrow; use THROTTLE on touch screens.
- Shift: Space while the tachometer is in the green range.
- Nitro: N or Shift; use N₂O on touch screens.
- Pause: P or Escape. Restart: R.
During the countdown, hold the engine between 4,300 and 5,800 RPM. During the race, shifting around 6,400–7,400 RPM reduces lost momentum.
Tracks, Cars and Garage
Dockside Line, Rainline, Iron Pass, Salt Horizon and Midnight Tunnel have different distances, grip, wind and gradients. Vortex GT is balanced, Phantom R favours high revs and Titan V8 has a strong launch with high torque. Engine, transmission, tyres, aerodynamics and the other parts improve only the selected car.
Points and Leaderboard
Race victories award local race points for garage upgrades. A completed race also counts as verified play in the shared Derin Games points system. The leaderboard score combines the result, rival difficulty, distance-normalised speed, launch and perfect shifts, then submits it to the Redline Rivals board.
Tips for Faster Runs
- Hold the green launch band instead of pinning the throttle during the countdown.
- Aim for the green shift range instead of shifting early or hitting the limiter.
- Use nitro in a higher gear on a long straight rather than during wheelspin.
- Upgrade each track's recommended parts first and save a suitable car for every track.
