Neon Rift Game Guide

This guide covers movement, dashing, combos, power-ups and the global score system.
What is the Goal?
Collect glowing cores while surviving for as long as possible. Every core grows your combo, letting the same actions earn more points. Higher scores unlock new sectors and increase the pressure from incoming hunters.
How to Play
- Move: WASD or arrow keys; use the virtual stick on mobile.
- Dash: Space; use the DASH button on mobile.
- Pause: P or Escape.
- Restart: R after a run ends.
Normal contact costs energy. A dash briefly protects you and lets you cut through enemies to destroy them.
Power-ups and Combos
- Shield blocks one hit.
- Magnet pulls nearby cores towards you.
- Time Warp temporarily slows enemies.
- Collect the next core before the timer expires to preserve your multiplier; waiting resets it to x1.
High-Score Strategies
- Use dashes to turn dense enemy groups into points, not only as an escape.
- Preserve core chains without letting hunters trap you near an edge.
- Take calculated risks with a shield and favour safer routes while the magnet is active.
- Try to refill the dash meter before entering a harder sector.
