What is the Goal of the Game?

The goal of Retro Soccer Pro is to win 11v11 football matches against simulated opponent teams. Pass, dribble, shoot, and slide tackle to score goals, defend your net, and achieve a tournament-winning high score!

How to Play?

Control your active player using WASD or Arrow Keys. Press Z or Space to pass (or switch players defensively), and X to shoot (or slide tackle defensively). Pressing X charges the shot power-meter for higher lofted shots. Mobile players can use the virtual touchscreen joystick and action buttons.

Hold the pass button to see a green aiming line and target ring. Aim with the direction keys or joystick; a quick tap favors a short pass, while a longer hold favors distance and leads a moving teammate. The passer makes a forward run and teammates create supporting angles. Without direction input, the selected receiver moves to meet the pass; steer to take over immediately. Fast passes need a longer first touch: settle the ball before accelerating.

Game Strategies

Maintain ball possession by passing to open teammates. When shooting, hold the key slightly to charge up and target the top corners of the net, where goalkeepers struggle to reach. Avoid slide tackling from behind, as this increases the referee's likelihood of issuing yellow or red cards, leaving your team with fewer players!
